What is Golden Hour Matcha?
Golden Hour Matcha offers premium ceremonial-grade matcha sourced from Shizuoka, Japan. Inspired by the calm, beautiful moments of sunrise and sunset, our blends help you slow down, find clarity, and enjoy a peaceful ritual with every cup. Our goal is to bring authentic, high-quality matcha to you at an affordable price—so everyone can experience the healthful benefits and joy of this special tea.
Where do you source your matcha?
We source our matcha directly from Japan’s most renowned tea regions to ensure the highest quality and authentic flavour. Our Sunrise and Sunset blends come from the lush tea fields of Shizuoka, while our premium Dawn blend is sourced from the historic tea region of Kyoto. Our current matcha is freshly harvested in February 2025 for vibrant taste and quality.
Orders & Shipping
Where do you ship?
We ship across Canada and the United States. We are planning to expand internationally in the future—stay tuned!
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Shipping times vary by location:
Canada: 3–10 business days, depending on your location. Remote areas, such as the Northwest Territories, may take a little longer.
United States: 5–12 business days.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes! We offer local pickup at several convenient community centres in the GTA. Select your preferred location at checkout, and we’ll notify you when your order is ready. We’re working to expand pickup locations to serve you better.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes! Use promo code FREESHIP at checkout for free shipping on orders over $75, valid Canada-wide. For orders below $75, standard shipping fees apply.
Do U.S. orders have additional fees?
Yes. Orders shipped to the United States may be subject to tariffs and import duties, which are out of our control. A handling fee will also be charged at checkout to cover processing; this fee does not include the shipping cost.
Can I cancel or modify my order?
If your order hasn’t shipped yet, please contact us as soon as possible at goldenhourmatcha@gmail.com to request changes or cancellations.

Shipping fees depend on location and package weight. Remote regions such as the Northwest Territories may have slightly higher shipping fees due to distance. For an accurate quote, check your total at checkout.
Matcha Quality & Preparation
How should I store my matcha?
To keep your matcha fresh, store it in an airtight container in a cool, dark place, away from heat and moisture. Refrigeration is recommended for long-term storage.
How do I prepare matcha?
For a classic matcha tea latte:
Sift 2 teaspoons (4g) of matcha into a bowl.
Add (40g) of hot water (not boiling, around 80°C/175°F).
Whisk in a zigzag motion until frothy.
Add 120- 140 ml of your milk of choice and stir well.
Add ice if desired and enjoy!
Does matcha contain caffeine?
Yes, matcha contains caffeine—usually more than regular green tea. Thanks to the calming amino acid L-theanine, it provides smooth, focused energy without jitters.

Due to the nature of our product, we do not accept returns. However, if you experience any issues with your order, please contact us, and we’ll do our best to make it right.
