What is Golden Hour Matcha?
Golden Hour Matcha is a Toronto-based brand offering premium ceremonial-grade matcha sourced from Japan. Inspired by the golden hour, we create mindful moments through every cup — smooth, vibrant, and made to elevate your daily ritual.
Where do you source your matcha?
Our matcha is sourced directly from Shizuoka and Kyoto, Japan — two of the most renowned tea-growing regions in the country. We partner with trusted farms that follow traditional cultivation practices, including shade-growing and stone-grinding, to produce authentic ceremonial-grade matcha with vibrant colour, smooth texture, and rich flavour.

Where do you ship?
We currently ship within Canada, with plans to expand internationally in the future! Stay tuned.
How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed within 1-3 business days, and shipping typically takes 3-7 business days depending on your location.
Do you offer local pickup?
Not at this time, but we are working on potential local collaborations to make this possible in the future!
Do you offer free shipping?
We offer free standard shipping on all Canadian orders over $75 CAD. For orders under $75, a flat-rate shipping fee will apply at checkout.

Can I cancel or modify my order?
If your order hasn’t been shipped yet, please contact us as soon as possible at goldenhourmatcha to request changes or cancellations.
Matcha Quality & Preparation
How should I store my matcha?
To keep your matcha fresh, store it in an airtight container in a cool, dark place, away from heat and moisture. Refrigeration is recommended for long-term storage.
How do I prepare matcha?
For a classic matcha tea latte:
Sift 2 teaspoons (4g) of matcha into a bowl.
Add (40g) of hot water (not boiling, around 80°C/175°F).
Whisk in a zigzag motion until frothy.
Add 120- 140 ml of your milk of choice and stir well.
Add ice if desired and enjoy!
Does matcha contain caffeine?
Yes! Matcha contains about 35mg of caffeine per serving, providing a calm, focused energy without the jitters of coffee.
